MEET MRS. GRUBBS
My name is Jayne Grubbs, and I love teaching children! I am very lucky to have a job that I love so much, and I hope this passion will inspire students to do great things. This is my 12th year of teaching. I am very excited to be working with 5th grade Academically and Intellectually Gifted students this year. I will also be teaching a science enrichment special for grades 3-5. I am a graduate of Wake Forest University with a degree in Elementary Education. I have received National Board Certification in the area of Early/Middle Childhood-Reading Language Arts (www.nbpts.org). I am humbled to have recieved the 2011 Marcellus Waddill Excellence in Teaching Award as well. I have been married to my husband Jason for 11 years, and we have two dogs. Jeb is a yellow lab and Sam is a golden retriever. My husband and I had our first child in September, 2008, and he is a ton of fun! We are lucky to have such a happy, fun little boy! Now I can't wait to get to know more you!
