I am from Elkin, NC., where I attended Elkin elementary, middle and high school.  After graduating from high school, I went to North Carolina State University and majored in English…GO PACK!!  While I was living in Raleigh, I enjoyed everything the Wolfpack had to offer!!  After graduating in 2010, I went to the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where I received my teaching certificate for grades 6-9 in Language Arts.  I was fortunate enough to do my student teaching at East Forsyth Middle School.  This was a great experience and I learned so much during my time there.  After student teaching, I finished the year with the Ravens at East Forsyth as the Study Skills teacher for grades 6-8.  This was a great learning experience where I feel that I grew the most as a teacher.
