Assistant Principal Chris Applegate (Discipline 9th-11th Grade: A-G)

Applegate was named WSFCS Assistant Principal of the Year for 2017-2018
With the start of the 2019-20 school year, Mr. Applegate begins his 23rd year in education and tenth year as part of the Administrative Team at Mount Tabor. Prior to coming to Tabor, Mr. Applegate worked at rival Ronald Reagan High School as a social studies teacher and football and baseball coach for five years. Originally from New Jersey, Mr. Applegate spent eight years in the Toms River Regional School District as both a teacher and coach.
Before entering the field of education, Mr. Applegate spent five years working in collegiate and professional athletics. From 1992 to 1995, Mr. Applegate worked as a Recreation Specialist and Assistant Baseball Coach for Northwood University in West Palm Beach, Florida and from 1995 to 1997 he worked for the Toronto Blue Jays professional baseball organization as a Marketing Coordinator for Spring Training and the Class A Dunedin Blue Jays in Dunedin, Florida.
Mr. Applegate holds M.S.degrees in two different disciplines. He received his M.S. in Educational Administration from the University of Scranton, Scranton, PA in 2007 and an M.S. in Sports Administration from St. Thomas University in Miami, Florida in 1995. Mr. Applegate also received a B.A. in History and Political Science from Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida. While at Lynn, Mr. Applegate was a scholarship athlete as a member of the Fighting Knights baseball team in 1991 and 1992. Mr. Applegate began his collegiate career at Gettysburg College where he played both football and baseball from 1987-89.

2019-2020 marks Mrs. Clemons' 21st year in education and her sixth year as part of the Mount Tabor Administrative team. Prior to coming to Tabor City, Mrs. Clemons worked at Reynolds High School for over a decade. Her previous administrative experience includes an internship in both Belize and The Downtown School. Mrs. Clemons feels honored to be an Assistant Principal at Mount Tabor High School and looks forward to all of the successes we will achieve together. Go Spartans!

Assistant Principal Stephawn Kee (Discipline 9th-11th Grade: P-Z)Email: skee@wsfcs.k12.nc.us
Mr. Kee joined the Mount Tabor High School administrative team in 2009. His previous administrative experience includes being an Assistant Principal at Griffith Elementary School. Mr. Kee was a Science teacher at Paisley IB Magnet School prior to becoming and administrator. Mr. Kee is also a Spartan through and through, having graduated from Mount Tabor in 1991.
Mr. Kee has earned the following degrees:
- B.S. in Biology from Elizabeth City State University
- M.S. in Educational Administration from Gardner-Webb University

Athletic Director Frank Martin

Frank Martin joined the MTHS administrative staff as athletic director in May of 2017. During his tenure in the school system, Mr. Martin has been a teacher, coach, assistant athletic director, and assistant principal.
