Welcome to Jefferson Middle School! Sixth grade is such an exciting year and we are looking forward to meeting everyone! We hope to see you at the Open House on August 21st..
I am very lucky to teach both Math and Social Studies, two of my favorite subjects. I started my teaching career at Jefferson Elementary as a Primary Reading Teacher in 2003, I have been at TJMS since 2006.
I graduated from UNC-G with a bachelors in Political Science and then went to work for USAirways. I worked there for 15 years when I decided to change careers. I attended Salem College and earned my Masters in Education. I am certified to teach all subjects in kindergarten through sixth grade, and all levels of middle school math. I have always loved math, politics and any kind of history!
I am married and have 3 children. My oldest daughter will be a Junior at UNC Chapel Hill this fall (go Heels!) My son will be a Senior at Reagan. My youngest daughter will be an eighth grader at Jefferson this year! I am very excited to have her at school with me. Needless to say, I think Jefferson is the BEST middle school in the county.
