Wednesday August 22- 6th grade and new student Orientation- 1:00-3:00
OPEN HOUSE- 5:30-7:30 for ALL Students and Parents

Summer Hours- Teachers’ last day is officially June 13. However, some have workshops or training June 11-13.  Teachers will be available June 8, if you have questions.  The Lowrance office will be open this summer from 7:30-4:30.

Extended School Year will be held at Carter High School this summer.

Building- As you know, the Lowrance building has several construction needs. The school board is petitioning the County Commissioners to approve a request for a bond referendum to build a new building for us to be located in the back bus parking lot area. I am asking that you as parents, please contact our County Commissioners to voice your support for this project. As voters, your voice counts and we need your support.

Thanks to Dewey’s Bakery, we have reached and exceeded our goal for a matching funds grant for a new technology system.  Even better, the school system matched us 2-1, therefore we have enough money to purchase 2 technology systems.  Thank you so much to all families who participated in our fundraiser.  The winner of the $50.00 cash prize for selling 10 items or more is  Noah Drum. Congratulations!

Dewey’s was here Wednesday, June 6 for our awards/graduation programs.  We celebrated with cake and punch after graduation.

First day of school will be Monday, August 27, 2012. Have a safe and happy summer!
