My education experience prior to administration was as a teacher of exceptional children. Most of my years in the classroom were at the elementary and middle school levels.  My administrative experience has been as a middle school assistant principal, director of a youth transition program for EC high school students, and director of an early childhood program.  Five years ago I moved to Winston-Salem from Arizona and returned to working with middle school students after several years in early childhood.  I love being back with middle school students!

As 5^th graders leave elementary school they are filled with excitement for the new opportunities available to them at middle school. We have the chance to capture that excitement and channel it in positive ways so our students will continue to grow academically, mature socially, and leave Meadowlark in three years ready for the challenges that high school will offer.
