Dear Parents and Guardians:
I am very excited to be back at Meadowlark this year and look forward to having your child in Keyboarding. You child will have keyboarding every other day on a rotating A Day/B Day schedule. The purpose of this class is to provide a foundation for other computer classes as they continue with their education. Keyboarding is designed to teach middle grades students basic keying skills, which consist of fluent manipulation of letter, figure/symbol, and basic service keys by touch. Your child will learn the following competencies: Ø Proper keyboarding skills Ø Computer fundamentals such as classifying computer components and computer ethics Ø Word processing skills Ø Application of formatting features for documents including reports, memos and tables
