Robotics Competition Team - First Lego League

Meets every Wednesday from 2:45 - 4:00 in Room 116.
Advisor:  Mr. Alford

During this After-School Enrichment extra-curriculum, student will learn about robots building and learning about NXT (new version).

Student will be challenge to build and program robots to enrich their minds through using engineering methods and creative strategies.

Ultimately, students will compete in the First Lego League (FLL) challenge competition by presenting a Oral and Essay presentation and building and programming the NXT robot. This robot will have to complete a challenge course and win overall points standing before students can move on to the next level.

Competitions are held locally, State, Nationally and throughout the world.  Paisley's Robotics Team competed in the NC State tournament last year, and Mr. Alford was names "Coach of the Year" for our state!

Here at Paisley in the Robotic Club, students will appreciate the learning experience by learning team-work, building various robots, programming and entering in competitions.

We look forward to helping your child learn through innovation and creation in this extra-curriculum club here at Paisley IB Magnet School.
