Professional Organizations
I am the current president of the North Carolina Association for Scholastic Activities. In the past, I have served as the middle school representative for the Forsyth Principals Association. I served as the president during the 2007-2008 school year and vice president during the 2006-2007 school year. I recently served on the Principals' Advisory Council for Northwest RESA. I currently serve on the superintendent's budget committee. I am a member of the North Carolina Association of School Administrators, the National Education Association, the North Carolina Association of Educators, and Forsyth County Association of Educators. I serve on the board of directors for the North Carolina Association for Scholastic Activities and Tri-Stem.

About my family...
I live with my family in Walnut Cove, North Carolina. My wife is the media specialist at an elementary school Winston-Salem. I have two daughters and one son. My oldest daughter recently completed her masters degree in public policy concentrating on education policy at the University of Washington in Seattle. She is a data analyst in Glendale, CA. My youngest daughter recently graduated from the University of North Carolina at Asheville. She majored in environmental studies with concentrations in ecology and environmental biology. My son is a junior in college majoring in math and physics.
