Classroom Expectations

At the beginning of the school year, the Pre-K students discussed what it takes to behave appropriately in school.  We listed those behaviors and then created a chart with pictures and words.  The chart is displayed in the classroom for the students to read.  Below is the expectations we decided to use as class:

                               In Pre-Kindergarten, we need...

                                                                   - Listening Ears

  •                                                                    - Quiet Voices
  •                                                                    - Walking Feet
  •
  •                                                                    - Helping Hands
  •
to be good students at school.

We earn "stars" as a class! How do we earn them?

The Pre-K students earn "stars" as a class by making positive choices. Once our Pre-K class has 10 stars, they are able to go to the treasure box for a treat.  How does it work?

A chart is displayed for all students to see how many stars they have earned. Each time a star is earned, one student places a star on the chart.  Then the students count how many stars have been earned and how many stars are still needed before they are able to visit the treasure box.
