Scott Ertl
 
Mr. Scott Ertl is the full-time school counselor.  He graduated with honors from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Master's degree in Counselor Education in 1993. He earned his NBPTS certification in 2004. He has been the school counselor at Ward since the school opened in 2000. He is also the coordinator for the Academically-Intellectually Gifted (A.I.G.) program and the "Read and Ride" program.

Sherry McKnight

Mrs. Sherry McKnight works on Mondays and Tuesdays all day and on Wednesday mornings. She graduated from North Carolina A & T in 1996. She teaches classroom guidance lessons, facilitates group counseling, and works with students and parents with individual conferences upon request.
