The US Navy has given Hanes Magnet School a grant through the Sea Perch program!

 

Students at Hanes will build three remote control submarines.  Students from Wake Forest will help Hanes students build these submarines and then the subs will be tested in the pool at Wake Forest.  The Sea Perch club will meet on Monday from 3-4 during the months of February, March, and April.  The club is open to students in grades 6-8.  No transportation is provided after the club and parents must pick up their students at 4:00.  Some meetings will take place on the Wake Forest campus and parents may be asked to pick their students up from the Wake Forest campus.  If you have any questions call Andy Kraft at 399-6364.
