End-of-Year Testing

Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools gives end-of-grade (EOGs) and end-of-course (EOCs) tests at the end of every school year. These tests show how students are progressing each year, and the state and federal governments use them to show how schools are performing. High school students also take exams for their classes.

Students in grades 3 through 5 will take math, reading and science EOGs June 2-13. Students in grades 6 through 8 will take math, reading and science EOGs June 3-13. High schools will take exams from June 3-13. A Day/B Day classes will take exams June 3-6, and block exams will be given June 9-13. (Middle school students taking high school courses such as Algebra I take the EOC in these time frames, too.)

Testing can be stressful for students, so we have put this section together to help them and their parents.
