School system letter

Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools is pleased to be the pilot for an online resource for parents to have access to important information concerning your childs demographics, attendance, grades, and discipline. We believe that communication between parents, teachers, and students is critical to the overall success for our students. To provide you as a parent with timely information concerning your child or children, WS/FCS is pleased to offer Parent Assistant, an Internet-based program that allows you to access important information about your child using a secure website.

Access to Parent Assistant is available to you by linking to https://pa.ncwise.org or by accessing Parent Assistant through the Parents Link on the WS/FCS web page. Parent Assistant is a component of our student information system, NCWISE, and is housed on a secure website at the Department of Public Instruction. To access your childs records and information you will use the username and password provided at the end of this letter. For security purposes, we must stress the importance of NOT sharing this username and password. The confidentiality of the data for your child will be compromised if you do not protect this username and password. Upon logging in the first time to Parent Assistant, you should immediately select the option, General Info, then Demographics. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the Change Password button. Please reset the password we provide to one you can remember, using secure measures such as: a minimum of 8 characters with a combination of letters and numbers, avoiding common words such as husband, children, and pet names.
