O ur doors are open to students before school, during all lunches and after school. During regular school hours, students must have a note and/or hall pass signed by their teacher. All students must sign-in and sign-out upon entering and leaving the MC in the logbook. Please do not bring food, drinks, cell phones, iPods, MP3 players or similar items into the MC.

O ur collection includes approximately 16,000 books. You are welcome to check out three books at a time for three weeks, with the exception of those in our reference area or sections placed on reserve by teachers. Books may be renewed unless requested by another student or teacher. We encourage and honor your suggestions for titles you feel should be added to our collection within our budget and selection policy restraints. Other materials available for loan include calculators and laptops. Calculators can be checked out for an entire school quarter. Laptops are loaned to students to complete school assignments and must be returned in two days. Please bring a teacher's note indicating the assignment for which the laptop is needed.

O ur periodical collection includes newspapers such as the Winston-Salem Journal, Greensboro News & Record and the Chronicle. We also have a variety of magazines available. Our charge for printing or photocopies is $.10 per page. The Media staff must make all photocopies or retrieve printouts from the printer behind the Circulation Desk.
