Renaissance Place-Accelerated Reader/STAR Reading
Accelerated Reader is a program used at Ashley IB Elementary Magnet School to foster a love of reading among our students. Students are encouraged to read books on their grade level. Students are offered incentives classroom and school-wide for their achievement in the Accelerated Reader program.
STAR Reading is the assessment part of Renaissance Place that allows teachers to evaluate student reading levels at different intervals throughout the year. The assessment is also used to set attainable goals for students while monitoring their progress during the year.
