Research shows that students who are readers also excel in academics because they have broader vocabularies, increased exposure to great writing, and become more effective users of ideas. The purpose of the Parents' Book Club is to introduce parents of middle-school students to teen literature and to authors of teen literature. The ultimate goal is to impact student learning by equipping parents with the knowledge of teen literature and authors so that they can recommend books to their children that are age-appropriate and appealing.
