Therapeutic Horseback Riding
The students at The Special Children's School participate in therapeutic horseback riding throughout the school year at Riverwood Therapeutic Riding Center in Tobaccoville. While riding, a physical therapist has them work on educational skills as well as balance skills. The children are lead on the horse by a volunteer and are accompanied by side walkers to assist them with riding the horse and completing activities.
