  • codeLinc 2014 Hackathon

On November 22-23, Lincoln Financial Group held codeLinc 2014. In this hackathon, students from North Carolina universities had less than 24 hours to code a working prototype application solution to solve an issue for one of several education-based non-profit organizations. Out of roughly 20 projects, all created by groups of college computer science and programming majors, the team Andy Martinek led came in second place, despite him being the only high schooler there. He won a cash prize ($500) and a large wooden corn hole game for our school which will be shipped to Atkins.
