Our fifth grade students have the opportunity to participate in a live news program.  Students have extra work as they must practice scripts and learn to use the Davis electronic weather station to compile the daily weather report.  The students take turns going through announcer, producer, and computer technician jobs.  Each day they watch their presentation on tape as they learn first hand how the team functioned.  This is a great learning experience in communication.  At the end of their experience, they recieve a dvd to keep that shows two of the broadcasts.  These are also on our podcast or vidcast page .
