Info for the week of February 18-22
This week in Math we are continuing to review 2 and 3 digit addition with regrouping as well as introducing 2 digit subtraction with regrouping.
In Reading we have been working with the book Chocolate Fever. We have been working on comprehension questions, reading response questions, fact and opinion, comparing, predicting and cause/effect.
In Science, we are wrapping up our Matter unit. This week we have been discussing the different attributes of solids, liquids and gases. We have also been discussing physical and chemical changes. The students will wrap up the unit by playing a scoot game based on all material taught and will then take a unit test.
This week in writing we begin a persuasive writing piece about pets. We will be writing to our parents persuading them to buy us a pet. The students can choose any animal they want as long as they can come up with 3 reasons why thier pet will make a great pet! This should be interesting!
