Credit Recovery
East Forsyth is committed to helping your child be successful in their academic course of study. Our credit recovery options help students to receive the needed remediation so they may be successful for the rest of the school year in core courses.
East Forsyth uses an online computer program called PLATO to increase the development of core subject skills in a self paced environment that promotes individual accountability. Students will have the opportunity take online tutorials, applications and mastery tests. Students may review any of the tutorials from home or take the tutorials as many times as needed to help them understand the material.
Students who are invited to attend the Plato Credit Recovery options must:
Attend all required sessions
Complete all coursework with a grade of 70 or above
Students who complete the coursework and required attendance may have their 9 week alpha grades changed to the grade earned in the credit recovery course.
Credit Recovery is by invitation ONLY. Students will be invited at the end of every marking period to attend in core classes only.
