Welcome To Character Education 2012-13!!!
Welcome To Character Education Classes! My name is Mrs. Turner and I will be teaching Kindergartners, 1st and 2nd Graders this year for their Character Education Special! If your child is in 3rd Grade they will either have Ms. Corsig or Ms. Jolly for Character and our 5th Grade Seniors will have Ms. Waye as their Character Education Teacher.
I have been in education, on and off since 1996. I hold a NC Teaching Lisence in Middle Grades Education, as well as my Elementary Add-On Lisensure. I also have a Masters Degree in School Administration through Gardner-Webb University! I have been a part of the Kernersville Elementary School Family since 2000 and have worn many hats from parent to teacher! I have 2 sons, Seth and Simon and my family welcomed a baby daughter, in 2011, from The Peoples Republic of China. I love Kernersville Elementary School and am excited to be a part of all of my student's lives!
Character is a big part of the culture of Kernersville Elementary. Our staff sees each day as a chance for our students to grow, not only academically, but also socially through Character Building! Each student will visit the Character Education Classroom through their Specials Rotation.
Students will learn about being a person of strong character through reading stories, art projects, group activities, songs and games! The Character Classroom is a fun place to learn!
