I graduated from the University of Tennessee, and have taught in Tennessee and Alabama before making North Carolina my home. The process will include structured lessons in the rules accompanied by applied use of the skills in the writing and editing process. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Literature will be studied by genre with a focus on the elements of each genre and reading selections that showcase these elements.&amp;nbsp; Reading skills will stress comprehension and analysis of writing styles.&amp;nbsp; Follow-up to reading assignments vary, but may include study guides, quizzes, tests, discussions/seminars, and group presentations/summarizatons. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Vocabulary studies will include new words that appear in reading selections, literary terms, and SAT frequency words.&amp;nbsp;
