Ms. Neely

What do you do at WSPA?

I am an 8th grade Science and Social Studies Teacher at WinstonSalem Preparatory Academy.

What is unique about you as a teacher?

I believe what makes me unique as a teacher is that I try to make the connection between my content and the personal interests of my students. In addition to making real-life connections; I try to make connections between the content area, and an interests my students have outside of the classroom. Relating the content area to my student's personal interests holds their attention, motivates the students to do their own research, and increases their want to learn more about the topic.

If you could visit another country during the school year, where would it be and why?

If I could visit another country, I would love to go to Italy. I would like to visit the Colosseum, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and the Vatican Museums, which display wall and ceiling paintings by Michelangelo and others. Plus, I love Italian food.

Lunch Policy

  • Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools does not allow students to leave campus for lunch, even if a parent calls the school or sends a note to school.
