(336) 703-4125Hello,Welcome to my webpage! My name is Mrs. Pipkins and I want to share a little about myself before getting into the rigor and routine. I am excited to serve as the Elementary Resource Teacher at The Downtown School. This 2015-2016 school year will be my fifth year teaching for WSFCS. I am a native of North Carolina but spent most of my upbringing in NY and PA. I graduated from Winston-Salem State University. I am happily married to Brian Sr. and we have two sons, Brian II and Isaiah. Lastly, during my free time, I enjoy reading and spending time with my family.
Throughout the year, I will be providing helpful resources in reading, writing, math and social skills that anyone can utilize. Typically, as the Resource Teacher, I do not give homework; however, based on the students' needs I may provide some additional resources to practice at home intended to sharpen skills. I use a variety of teaching methods including repetition, kinesthetic, visual, and auditory.
Parents please note that we have one mandatory meeting during the year but we can ALWAYS conference ANYTIME to discuss your child's progress, goals, strengths and needs. Please feel free to contact me via email or phone call.
