Important News:
As you know we are doing things a little different this year especially with how the school year will start. You may have received a letter in the mail about our special Open House for Kindergarten ONLY! This will be held on Thursday August 25 at the school from 2-4 pm, please be prompt. During this time we will talk to you about all the important information for the year and about the staggered entry process. If you can't make it during that time we will still be available to speak with you during the regular Open House time (5:30-7:30 pm).

Both myself (Ms. Hayes) & Mrs. Williams are so happy to have you in our class this year!
My name is Lauren Hayes and this is my second year teaching at Hall-Woodward Elementary. I am really excited to get the school year started and on its way! I have many fun ideas and things planned throughout the year.
To start off, I would like to tell you a little bit about myself both personally and professionally. I am originally from central Florida and I moved to North Carolina about 2 1/2 years ago. I attended the University of North Florida where I graduated with my Bachelor's in Elementary Education. In my spare time I really enjoy the outdoors. Also I love photography so expect pictures displayed of my students throughout the classroom!
I would like to work closely with each and every one of you this year. I believe communication is vital! If you need to get a hold of me you can either call the school or email me at lehayes@wsfcs.k12.nc.us.
During the first week of school your child will receive a homework binder. I ask that you take great care of it since it will hold a lot of resources and important papers! Please be sure to check this on a DAILY basis in order to be up o date on everything going on at the school and in our classroom.
