Physical Education 3 / Weight TrainingPE 3 / Weight Training is a yearlong elective class that will provide an opportunity for development of strength and conditioning for various sports and fitness related activities. Free weights, exercise machines and conditioning activities will be incorporated to promote improvement in strength, endurance, balance, agility, and speed. Students will lift according to the “Bigger Faster Stronger” strength program, and will participate in conditioning, plyometric, and flexibility activities as well. Students will learn proper technique, safety precautions and proper application of the Principles of Training. Students will also develop a plan to set and achieve goals, develop nutritional profiles, and identify musculature anatomy.
