• French 1
     
    French 1 is intended for students who have never taken a French class before. It is also appropriate for students who took French in middle school but do not feel confident with vocabulary and verb conjugations. In French 1, students will develop their listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills toward a novice-mid level of proficiency. Students will also learn about French and Francophone cultures in the context of thematic units. Vocabulary development and sentence structure are emphasized through authentic reading and listening selections, partner and group work, games, and proficiency-oriented projects.
