Welcome to Math I ! We are looking forward to an exciting experience in molding each of you into excellent Math I students. In this course, students will be provided learning experiences that lead to establishing solid skills in the study of Math I. Skills such as: solving equations, factoring expressions, evaluating expressions, writing and graphing equations of lines, statistics involving univariate and bivariate data Students will broaden their use of the coordinate plane as they learn to graph lines with, as well as, without the graphing calculator. A few geometry concepts will be included as other topics are introduced.This course provides the following assessments: quizzes, chapter tests, formative assessments, 1^st and 2^nd quarter district benchmark tests, and a Final Exam (NC Final in Math 1).
