Welcome to
Math II! We are looking forward to an
exciting experience in molding each of you into excellent Math II students. In
this course, students will fluctuate from inductive to deductive approaches in
problem-solving and methods of proof. There will be an in-depth study of
geometric figures in both two and three dimensions. Students will broaden their
use of the coordinate plane to include transformations of geometric figures. We
will focus on mastery of definitions, theorems, and postulates, strongly
emphasizing their application in direct proof, indirect proof, and
problem-solving. This course provides the following assessments: quizzes,
chapter tests, formative assessments, Mid-Term Exam, and a Final Exam. There
will be projects assigned during
this course, each counting as a Test grade.
