Hello,

I am thrilled to return Reagan High School this year.  I learned a great deal about our community, the needs of our students, and my role as a resource for career and college planning during the 2015-2016 school year.  I look forward to expanding upon many of the great things that were started last year and adding new and exciting opportunites for our students this year.

I started my career in education as a Special Education Teacher in an elementary school in Charlotte, NC.  After 8 years in the classroom, I decided to pursue School Counseling as a way to extend my work with students.  I have counseling experience in middle school, high school, and community college settings.  In my work as a School Counselor, I became passionate about career and college planning.  The opportunity to focus on career development full time is a dream come true.

Outside of school, I can most often be found with my husband, Drew, and son, Levi, chasing our very active Labrador!  We love spending time outdoors and have found a new favorite kayaking spot on the Yadkin River.  I am an avid reader and crafter, but I'm happiest of all when breathing fresh, mountain air.
