Degrees and Certifications:
I was born in Virginia and moved to Winston-Salem in the middle of my 8th grade year. I graduated from North Forsyth High School and attended Appalachian State University for my undergraduate studies in Sociology. A few years after graduating, I moved to Seattle, WA to begin a Masters program at The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology where I obtained my Masters in Theology and Culture.
This is my first year at Clemmons Middle School and I'm delighted to work with a diverse and awesome group of students here. Outside of teaching, I've coached High School Track and Field, served as an advocate and curator for the arts, and organized community advocacy and faith groups. I'm passionate about U.S. History and helping students draw connections to their lives, to current issues and helping to nurture them towards being informed and active citizens.
