    Biographical Statement:  Sergeant First Class Berry is a retired U.S. Army Infantry Non-commissioned Officer with over 22 years of active military service, and is an established leader and trainer of soldiers for light and heavy ground combat operations.  He is a seventh year JROTC Instructor. Prior to assuming the Army Instructor position for Atkins H.S., SFC Berry served as the Brigade Training Non-commissioned Officer for Army Senior ROTC at Ft. Devens Massachusetts. He served as an Operations Sergeant Major and Platoon Sergeant in Baghdad, Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom (2003-2004), where he was awarded the Bronze Star for service. He has served as a Drill Sergeant and is a certified Army Instructor. He is a licensed and ordained minister and served 4 years as a Senior Pastor in Cambridge, Massachusetts (2004-2008). Currently, SFC Berry works with youth and serves as an associate Pastor of young adults 18-35, and the Worship Circle at Genesis Baptist Church in Greensboro North Carolina. SFC Berry has earned a Master of Divinity in Evangelism and Church Planting from Liberty University along with a Bachelor of Science degree from Liberty University. He is currently enrolled in the Doctorate of Ministry candidate at Liberty University.
     
    SFC Berry has been training and serving young people for thirty years. This year his drill team has swelled to more than thirty from a nominal team of 16 cadets.
