I have sixteen years teaching (16 years band, 8 years orchestra). I received my Bachelor of Music Education degree from Mars Hill College 2001 and my Master of Music degree from UNCG in 2003. I have performed nine seasons with the Piedmont Wind Symphony, four as Principal Saxophone. I am the co-founder of the Southern Saxophone Retreat, a weekend clinic for saxophonists of all ages and abilities, featuring clinics, master classes, faculty recitals, and student performances. In my spare time, I canoe class IV (and sometimes class V) rivers and creeks around the east coast in a specialized whitewater canoe. I have a YouTube channel with over 100 videos. My wife kayaks with me.
