    August 2005 – Present, Department Chairperson / Senior Army Instructor (SAI)

    Department Chairperson of a United States Army Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) program comprised of over 100 high school cadet personnel. Leads, supervise, teach, train and coach high school cadet students on various academic and military leadership subjects. Responsible for the morale, discipline and professional development of 144 enrolled Army JROTC cadets. Supervises 3 cadet commanders and 10 staff leaders

    • Organizes and manages JROTC fundraiser projects to raise funds to support events each school year
    • Manages numerous Community Service projects to consistently maintain positive influence within the community; won numerous JROTC competition awards for outstanding unit performance
    • Manages all financial and budget reporting within the program
    • Awarded the Commander’s Public Service Award for outstanding JROTC public service.

    Managed and operated a 120-bed, Skill Nursing Facility (SNF) and 75-bed, Assisted Living (AL), non-profit facility with a multimillion dollar annual operating budget and comprised of 150 employees. Supervised 12 department managers. Facilitated a 10-member Lutheran Disaster Coalition Committee (LDCC); Advised the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and other corporate executives on disaster planning

    • Organized, planned, developed and assisted in managing the Lutheran Disaster Response Plan
    • Lead and facilitated Disaster Committee meetings to direct planning activities
    • Prepared facility disaster plan projects to communicate information and coordinate assets
