I am new to Easton but not new to WS/FCS. I taught at Clemmons Middle School from 1999-2002. I then took a two-year leave to earn a Master’s Degree in School Administration as an NC Principal Fellow at UNCG (https://www.uncg.edu/). During that leave, I was still part of WS/FCS as an administrative intern at Mineral Springs Middle and Clemmons Elementary. Following my internship, I received a Masters is School Administration and was hired in 2004 as the Assistant Principal at Clemmons Elementary School. I moved to Sedge Garden Elementary School in 2009 as the Principal. Then in 2016 I moved to Frank Morgan Elementary School.
In February, of the current school year, 2019/2020, I was asked by Dr. Hairston to move to Easton Elementary as part of a turnaround plan.I feel very fortunate to have been asked to move to Easton as the Principal. I am also excited about the future of Easton Elementary School.
I am a native of Avery County, NC. I even attended college there for my undergraduate degree. I attended Lees McRae College (http://www.lmc.edu/) where I majored in social studies with a teaching certification in high school social studies. After I graduated I realized that I wanted to work with students with disabilities so I enrolled in Appalachian State University (http://www.appstate.edu/). I earned an add-on teaching license in K-12 Learning Disabilities and in 1993 I started teaching at Table Rock Middle School in Burke County NC. After a few years of teaching, I returned to ASU to earn a Master of Arts with a teaching certification in K-12 Cross Categorical Special Education. In 1999 I moved from Burke County and start my career in WS/FCS.More about who I am: https://www.clemmonscourier.net/2016/09/26/ramona-warren-new-morgan-elementary-principal/
