ALL Standard, Honors, Seminar, and AP English students are required to participate in the common reading program at Mount Tabor High School. Depending on the year and level, students may have from one to three books to read and must also take a test on the reading(s). Due dates and book titles are all given on the pages to the left for each grade level. Please pay close attention to due dates and texts.
If juniors and seniors are taking standard or honors English at the Career Center, they do not have a required summer reading book.
Any student taking Advanced Placement English classes, whether at the Career Center or Mount Tabor, also has summer reading requirements, which are due on the first day of school in August, AND require a written assignment, too. See the requirements on the junior and senior pages to the left, especially as the Career Center and Mount Tabor may have different reading passages and assignments.
If you have questions or need help, please contact the English Department Chair, Laurie Schaefer at email@example.com.
