Mrs. Jakobowski

Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Jakobowski

I am excited to "move up" to 4th grade H.A.G. this year from 3rd grade H.A.G.  I will be teaching with Mrs. J. Dease, who is new to Southwest E.S.  She is very excited to meet all of you. I came to Southwest E.S. 2 years ago from Lewisville E.S. where I served as the Curriculum Coordinator for 3 years and taught 4th grade A.G. for 3 years.

Previous to that, I was the Curriculum Coordinator at Konnoak E.S. for 6 years and taught A.G. part-time for 3 years when my own children were young.

I began my teaching career in Williamsburg, Virginia.  During this time, I received a Master's Degree in Gifted Education at The College of William and Mary.  After moving to Winston-Salem in 1998, I attended U.N.C.G. to earn a Master's Degree in School Administration.  As you can see, I enjoy all aspects of education.

My husband and I have three children, Ben, a freshman in college, Andrew, a sophmore at West Forsyth H.S., and Carlee, a seventh grader at Salem Baptist Christian School.  I love being a "mom" from attending soccer games and band concerts to displaying my daughter's art work.
