The selection process for induction into West Forsyth’s Chapter of the National Honor Society will begin in August. Per national guidelines, students must meet each of the following requirements to be considered for membership.
- He/she must be a junior or senior who is not a current or prior NHS member.
- Have a 3.50 unweighted cumulative GPA.
- Have held a leadership position in a school or community-based organization, club, or team.
The application dates are listed below for your convenience:
- August 2023 – Postcard invitations will be mailed to eligible students at the beginning of August. In addition, the NHS Application Canvas page will go live. All students who have the required minimum GPA will automatically be added. It is very important that you check your school email often and accept the invitation to this page. This will be our main form of communication with you throughout the application process.
- August 18, 2023 – Application Q&A session in the media center at 11:00am. If you have questions regarding the application process not covered in the videos on the NHS Application Canvas page, please plan to attend this session.
- August 30, 2023 - Application Q&A session in room 103 at 3:45pm. If you have questions regarding the application process not covered in the videos on the NHS Application Canvas page, please plan to attend this session.
- September 13, 2023 – Completed applications must be submitted by 11:59pm. Late applications will not be accepted, so please make sure to submit your application early.
