- College Admission Requirements
-
In order for a student to gain admission into one of the 16 UNC system schools, they must meet the minimum GPA requirement of 2.5, a combined reading and math SAT score of 800 and a composite ACT score of 17. As a caveat, these are the minimum requirements for students to be considered for admission. Satisfying these requirements does not translated into guaranteed acceptance.
SAT/ACT
Students must take and achieve a satisfactory score on a college admission exam. It is recommended a student take one of these exams at least 3 times in order to give the student the greatest chance to make the highest possible score. Students at Carver are eligible to receive 2 fee waivers for both the SAT and ACT. Students must fill out an income verification form and return it to student services to receive a waiver.
Note: all juniors are administered the ACT free of charge in Feb, 27 2018.
