    Dear Senior Parent or Guardian and Student,

    Please pay careful attention to the following information so that you can prepare for these important upcoming events.

    CAP AND GOWN DAY: February 1st, 2018

    Cap and gown day will be from 8:30 AM-3:30 PM in the library on February 1st, 2018. Students will be called to the library by their homeroom teacher’s name. Career Center students that will their homeroom’s appointed slot may go to the library during lunch or a travel period. During this time seniors will be measured for caps and gowns, take cap and gown pictures, verify names that will be seen on their diplomas, and turn in announcement order forms.  THERE IS NO MAKEUP DAY FOR CAP AND GOWN PICTURES. If you want to order pictures, announcements, or other senior related gear, order forms/envelopes are available in the main office. Complete the forms PRIOR to this date. There will NOT be extra order forms in the library. Every senior must attend this event even if he/she is not ordering anything.

    *DRESS FOR CAP AND GOWN PHOTOS – Men must wear a white collared dress shirt and a tie. Women must wear a scoop or “V” neck blouse.


    CLASS DAY: May 23rd, 2018

    Class Day is scheduled for May 23, 2018 in the Reynolds Auditorium at 10:00 AM. This event is for seniors to showcase their years at Reynolds and their talent for family, friends, and faculty. In addition, this is when we present the senior class to the faculty, administration, and student body. Awards and scholarships will be announced followed by the student program. Seats will be available on the ground floor of the auditorium for family and friends. Following the program, seniors are invited to a picnic. The cost of the picnic is included in senior dues. CLASS DUES ARE $45 MUST BE PAID to Ms. Kelly or Ms. Henry IN THE MAIN OFFICE BEFORE PROM on April 14th.  Class dues help to defray the cost of the senior picnic, Class Day, graduation, cap and gown purchases, diploma covers, tassels, and the printing of the diplomas.  Failure to pay class dues will result in a student’s inability to attend both the prom and the senior picnic. Any senior not in attendance at the picnic will be expected to report to afternoon classes.

    *Dress for seniors on Class Day (and Graduation): Spring dresses, dress slacks/pants, pantsuits, dress shoes in neutral colors (black, brown, tan, silver, gold, white), dress coats, white collared shirts with ties. No boots or tennis/athletic shoes of any kind are permitted.

    NOTE: For safety reasons, all shoes should have a covered heel or a strap at the heel. students are expected to follow the school dress code at all times. If you need assistance in securing the proper attire, please see Ms. Henry in the main office by May 15, 2018.

    GRADUATION: June 9th, 2018

    A mandatory graduation practice will be on Friday, June 8th at 10:30am in the LJVM Coliseum. Graduation will be on Saturday, June 9th at 3:00pm in the LJVM Coliseum. Students are expected to arrive one hour prior to the ceremony. More information about graduation and graduation practice will be released at a later time.
