    Dear Senior Parent or Guardian and Student, 


    Join the RJR Class of 2020 Instagram!  


    Please pay careful attention to the following information so that you can prepare for these important upcoming events.




    Cap and gown picture/order forms will be distributed during homeroom on January 22nd. Please fill out both forms (Lifetouch and Jostens) to the best of your ability. No student will receive graduation regalia until they fill out and turn in their Jostens form. All orders/money should be turned in on Cap and Gown Picture/Order Day, February 13th, 2020.


    SENIOR DUES: February 11th, 2020


    CLASS DUES ARE $45 and MUST BE PAID to Ms. Stuart or Ms. Torres in the Media Center. Payments will be collected every Tuesday and Thursday, from February 10th to April 9th (8:00am-9:00am OR 3:45pm-4:15pm).  Senior dues will NOT be taken in the main office. Class dues help to defray the cost of the senior picnic, Class Day, graduation, cap and gown purchases, diploma covers, tassels, and the printing of the diplomas.  Failure to pay class dues will result in a student’s inability to attend both the prom and the senior picnic. Any senior not in attendance at the picnic will be expected to report to afternoon classes.

    CAP AND GOWN PICTURE/ORDER DAY: February 13th, 2020


    Cap and gown day will be from 8:30am-3:15pm in the library on February 13th, 2020. During this time, seniors will be order caps and gowns (with Jostens), take cap and gown pictures (with Lifetouch), verify their names that will be seen on their diplomas (with Guidance), and turn in announcement order forms (with Jostens). If you want to order pictures, announcements, or other senior related gear, (with Jostens) extra order forms will be available in the main office beginning in February. Complete all forms PRIOR to this date. There will be a very limited supply of extra order forms in the library. Every senior must attend this event so that they can order their Cap and Gown.  Students will be called to the library by their homeroom teacher’s name. Career Center students may go to the library during lunch or their travel period. There is NO make up day to order caps and gowns.  If you miss Cap and Gown Picture Day, YOU will have to schedule a makeup session at the Lifetouch Office in Kernersville. 


    *DRESS FOR CAP AND GOWN PHOTOS – Men should wear a white collared dress shirt and tie. Women should wear a scoop or “V” neck blouse. If you need assistance in securing the proper attire, please see your guidance counselor by February 15th, 2020.


    CLASS DAY: May 20th, 2020


    Class Day is scheduled for May 20, 2020 in the Reynolds Auditorium at 10:00am. This event is for seniors to showcase their time and talent at Reynolds for family, friends, and faculty. In addition, this is when we present the senior class to the faculty, administration, and student body. Awards and scholarships will be announced followed by the student program. Seats will be available on the ground floor of the auditorium for family and friends. Following the program, seniors are invited to the senior picnic.


    *Dress for seniors on Class Day (and Graduation): Spring dresses, dress slacks/pants, pant suits, dress shoes in neutral colors (black, brown, tan, silver, gold, white), dress coats, white collared shirts with ties. No boots or tennis/athletic shoes of any kind are permitted.

    NOTE: For safety reasons, all shoes should have a covered heel or a strap at the heel. students are expected to follow the school dress code at all times. If you need assistance in securing the proper attire, please see your guidance counselor before May 15, 2020.


    GRADUATION: 5:30 PM on Friday, June 12th, 2020

    A mandatory graduation practice will be held  in the LJVM Coliseum the week prior to graduation. Graduation practice will be Thursday, June 11th, time TBD. We will update the time on our new Senior Instagram account! Students are expected to arrive one hour prior to the ceremony. More information about graduation and graduation practice will be released at a later time.
