2016 Holiday Cards

One hundred holiday cards drawn by students in Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools are on display at the Delta Arts Center from Dec. 6 through Dec. 16.
A reception honoring the students is scheduled for 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 8.

The exhibition is sponsored by the Delta Fine Arts Center and The Links Inc., an international organization of women dedicated to serving their communities.

Each year, art teachers in the school system send in art by their students so that Board of Education member and central-office administrators can pick the one they want to use for their holiday card. To keep printing costs down, all pictures are in black-and-white. Those and other cards are included in the exhibit.
You can see the cards selected by Superintendent Beverly Emory, the Board of Education and Executive Cabinet in the slide show above. To see who designed the card, click on the "i" in the upper left corner of the photo gallery.

The reception is free, and members of the public are invited. Delta Fine Arts Center is at 2611 New Walkertown Road. Its regular hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays, except the third Saturday of each month when it is closed.
