• Band Camp Volunteering
Volunteers should work in 2 or 3 hour shifts. Administer first aid (blisters, ice for sprains, advil for headaches) and basically just be there for anyone who needed help. Each child will fill out a medical form on the first day of band camp which is used to determine who can get minor first aid and over the counter medicines. These are filed and kept with the band. Parents are also responsible to see that water is put out for the kids (use the big water containers that are used for away games) and snacks during breaks. Chaperoning
Chaperones will remain with students throughout the event.   All chaperones will meet in the band room.  For events that require travel, there will be 2 chaperones per bus and chaperones will have a clipboard to track bus attendance.  If students are leaving an away game with family and NOT riding the bus home, the student must give a note to the bus chaperone so that the chaperone knows not to expect that student on the bus for the trip back to North.  One chaperone will also be in charge of the medical bag for each event.  Football Games, Competitions, Parades, WSFCS Jamboree,  among many other events throughout the year will need chaperones. SEE THE FORM IN THE DROP DOWN MENU TO SIGN UP FOR BAND CAMP VOLUNTEERING, OR CLICK THE BUTTON BELOW!!!
    Other Opportunities
Throughout the year, there will be various other opportunities for parents to assist the band logistically. Other such events may include fundraisers, trips, bus driving (see Mr. Payne about getting you CDL), among many others. Thank you in advance for all of your hard work, time, and support. Without involved parents, students would not be able to achieve their full potential in the band program at North Forsyth.
