If you have registered for the camp, but have not paid yet, the payment link is still listed below.
Each year Atkins High School hosts a Middle School STEM Exploration Camp. This camp is for current 7th graders (rising 8th graders over the summer) only!
The total cost this year is $300 per student.  Registration deadline was April 30th!
    Typical Camp Activities
This camp will include engineering, game design, and biotechnology activities. While we cannot guarantee each activity for every year, many activities are duplicated from year to year. In the past we have taken field trips to Forsyth Tech, and the Joint Center for Nanoscience and NanoEngineering to see an overview of their programs. In addition, students have constructed water bottle rockets & gliders, learned how to use 3-D software for engineering and scientific visualization, designed 2-D video games, and performed a variety of laboratory activities including extracting DNA from cells and using chemical techniques to identify solution types.
The 2019 camp will run from Monday, July 8th through Thursday, July 18th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
WE WILL NOT HAVE CAMP ON FRIDAY, JULY 12TH due to the fact that all WSFCS buildings are closed on Fridays during the summer.
You could have registered for the camp here, but now it is too late!
You can pay for the camp here.
Future camps will likely have similar dates, typically starting on the Monday following the Fourth of July.
