• PBIS What is PBIS?

PBIS - or Positive Behavior Intervention and Support - is a behavioral support program that recognizes the positive contributions of students. The main goal is to help each child develop self discipline and make good choices.

The PBIS process focuses on improving a school's ability to teach and support positive behavior for all students. Common routines and uniform language with respect to appropriate school behaviors are consistent throughout the school. As a result, instructional time is more effectively used for teaching and the overall school environment is calm, pleasant, and conducive to learning.

At Union Cross Elementary, the PRIDE guidelines lay the foundation for students in all school settings.

Core Value incentives include a Class Pride Award.  This is a class incentive given out when an entire class is displaying our Core Values.  Class Pride awards will be used for whole class games, parties, etc.
