I grew up in Winston-Salem and graduated from Glenn High School. I attended Appalachian State University and graduated with a B.S. in Mathematics in 1991. I began my teaching career at High Point Central High School, teaching math and coaching cheerleading until I returned to Glenn in 1996. I served at Glenn from 1996-2013 as a math teacher, cheerleading coach, and then, curriculum coordinator. In 2012, I earned my MSA from Appalachian State University, and served an assistant principal at Glenn from 2013-2017. I joined the KES Wildcat family as principal in August 2017.
I have been married to my wonderful husband, Frank, for 26 years. We have two beautiful kids: Jamie, who is 24 and lives in Charlotte, working at AIG, and Drew, who is 19 and getting ready to begin his sophomore year at UNC Chapel Hill, where his sister graduated from in 2016.
I love spending time with my family and working out at the gym. I’m very active in my church. I love to read and spend Saturdays in the fall at The Rock in Boone, watching my ASU Mountaineers.
I’m excited to be part of the KES family!I can be reached by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
