I am very excited to be a part of the KES family! I was born and raised in Winston-Salem and went to North Davidson High School. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from NC State University (Go Pack!) and received my Master’s in School Administration through App State in 2011. I started my education career at the elementary level before moving to middle school. I taught social studies at Clemmons Middle School for ten years, mostly in the 7th grade. While at Clemmons Middle I took the short walk over to Ward Elementary to do my administrative internship in the afternoons. During my elementary internship I felt an immediate connection to the kids and loved their energy and enthusiasm for school. From then on I knew I wanted to pursue an administrative career at the elementary level. I joined the KES Wildcat family in August of 2017.
My wife and I spend most of our time playing with our busy three-year old son and our new baby girl. They are the joy of our lives and always keep us on our toes. I also enjoy all things sports and will occasionally play the drums in my church's praise band. I greatly look forward to helping our students grow and reach their personal and academic goals. I can't wait to see what this year has in store. Go Wildcats!
