SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
The Titan Scholarship Newsletter is your resource for scholarships available to students (mostly available to Seniors). It will be updated regularly to reflect current scholarship opportunities. An effort is made to include local, state, and national scholarships based on information received. You are encouraged to visit this page often.
Some scholarships require school endorsements/recommendations to be considered. For these scholarships, students should submit the Request to be considered for a scholarship Google form by the established deadline.
For School Counselor recommendations, allow two weeks for completion. It is important for students to complete the student “Recommendation/Scholarship Questionnaire” before requesting a letter of recommendation from counselors or teachers. These forms are available online and will also be distributed during your individual meeting with your School Counselor beginning the week of September 14.
West Forsyth High School is allowed to submit 5 school nominees to compete for a fully funded educational experience to UNC Chapel Hill that covers full tuition, summer experiences, etc. To be considered a strong candidate, students should exhibit academic excellence, dedication to physical vigor, and outstanding character. If you want to be considered as a school nominee, please provide a copy of the recommendation-scholarship form (attached) or your personal resume to Mrs. Hubbard and submit the Request to be considered for scholarships google form by August 28. For more information about the Morehead-Cain Scholar program and its criteria, visit https://www.moreheadcain.org/. Contact Mrs. Hubbard at ahubbard@wsfcs.k12.nc.us with questions.
The College Board partners with scholarship providers connected to the SAT®, PSAT/NMSQT®, and PSAT™ 10.
Through these partners, students can access over $300 million in scholarship awards. Learn more about scholarships.

Certain Colleges require the PROFILE to be filed along with the FAFSA. Some of the North Carolina schools that have required the profile in the past include Davidson College, Duke University, Elon University, Lenoir-Rhyne University, NC A&T University, UNC-Chapel Hill, and Wake Forest University. Some scholarships require the PROFILE also. Registration for the PROFILE begins October 1 and can be accessed online through www.collegeboard.com.
