School Improvement Plans

School Improvement Plans (SIPs) are used to chart and manage a school’s continuous improvement process. According to the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, a SIP “is more than a plan, it is a framework for change.” The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools uses the NCStar system to guide and house its school improvement processes for all schools. NCStar is a web-based tool which builds accountability as well as helps schools track their improvement.
